8 feet by 20 proably means the box is 8 feet wide and 20 feet long. Sounds a bit too much for a GMC van. You might want to do the actual measurements. Also Sure don't want to kill your enthusiam but most of the larger carriers will not put on a vehicle that is 13 years old. You should proably...

Will try to answer some of your questions. 1. A CDL is required if the total Gross Weight of the vehicle is over 26,000 pounds. That means empty and allowable cargo weight. However many companies require you to have a CDL irregardless of the GVW. 2. I would imagine in Ohio you will need a...

Excellent reply Gregg but sadly due to individuals constantly boasting about their exploits, the FDX W/G fleet is becoming saturated , along with other companies trying to chip away at their customer base. Some people do not know how to keep quiet which results in fewer opportunities for others.

    Hino straight trucks

I would be concerned about the parts issue. Look at what's going on now with Sprinters and FL dealers. They have an extensive network and parts supply is a problem. It might be a good exercise just for the heck of it to call several Penske dealers in out of the way locations, act like you have a...

    Can someone explain!?

Basically you sign an agreement with a carrier to get a certain percentage of the revenue for a particular trip. The carrier brokers the trip, charges for accesory options and if you are not happy with it you can refuse the trip. One interesting point would be if you damage the freight in loading...

Unfortunately Fluff comes along. Most of us know who generates the most Fluff, but newcomers do not.Bad decisions that truly hurt and have long ramifications can be caused by Fluff. Last year I met a couple with a C unit that truly regreted listening to a Fluff source.

One thing to consider is that there will be weeks when you net more than $400.00.without too much effort. Working for the man would probably require overtime and boss problems.
