    Ordering Sprinter

Not saying which way to go but remember to factor in the 2010's improved fuel economy. At 100,000 miles a year and $3/gallon for fuel, the 2010 will likely save you $1700-$1900 a year on fuel. The 2010 Emission rule engine gets between 3-4 mpg better than an 08 depending on how you drive. Be...

    Finally the NEW 2010 Sprinter...

It's Mercedes version of a Fuel cooler. Cools return fuel to lower the risk of condensate forming in the tank and to keep fuel temps in line. It's common on common rail diesels, my Duramax has one twice the size of a log book.

    Synth back to Mineral

I wouldn't worry about those pressures. The C-9 is supposed to cruise at 1600rpm...so with you running a tad slower (which is OK) you will see slightly lower oil pressures. The difference in oil pressure between the synth and the conventional oil is pretty normal, that's one of the reasons you...

    Who's killing the rates?

Of course I would not be expecting anyone to pay me if it did not pan out, in this scenario...we are talking about being an independent here not a contractor. If I was an complete independent and I rolled the dice by showing up to do the run in a vehicle that was not exactly what was called for...

    Who's killing the rates?

I know somebody who could run that and make very good money doing it (if he was down there today). If you think outside the box a bit and make a phone call, you could likely end up putting it a Sprinter too. Dock high doesn't always mean dock high. The Kentucky Duke will tell ya!

    Sprinter Repair Costs

I have the 3.92. I have been told the 4.10, if all else is equal will knock 1/2 to 1 mpg off. There are times I think I would be better with the 4.10, and then there are times I am happy with the 3.92. Some days I think OVM is a wise man, some days I think....well you get the idea.

    Sprinter Repair Costs

Geo, you are getting hosed. The MB229.51 oil was available last month at Napa for $5.19 a quart (Valvoline Synpower MST 5W40) and goes on sale a few times a year, and you can buy the oil filters for under $10 at a lot of places. The transmission oil is $7 a quart for the 236.14 new oil (from...

    Finally the NEW 2010 Sprinter...

Anyone can have bad luck with anything at a dealer and whether they know it or not, they usually contribute to the problems. My complaint is usual suspects who enjoy coming in and mouthing off just to get a rise out of me, Turtle, OVM or rlent. When asked to back up their statements it usually...
