When you weigh it empty but with you, your gear and a full tank of fuel you may well be surprised how much weight is on the front end. Also, the axles will be rated for different weights...so it isn't at all like loading a trailer (that has tandems under each end).

While these failures may just be a bad batch of parts with crappy metallurgy, I think the other nugget of good info here is ntime's oil and service intervals. So many of the OEM oil recommendations now are all about fuel economy...meaning the vehicle manufacturer meets its target CAFE...

I know Whataburger....in fact I've been served Whataburger....and you sir Mr Haloburger.....are no Whataburger. Maybe the one I go to in east Flint is different but I don't find Haloburger all that special...do like that they have tater tots tho.

There is more Nat Gas stuff out there than you might think...not long haul per se...but there is a lot...including a few hundred new Peterbilts that Chrysler Transport owns (really nicely done too) and Waste Management has a lot of gas trucks. Robert Transport out of Quebec has I think 50 or 60...

For short haul or city use...considering what that does to current diesel emissions technology...this seems pretty attractive.

Take the tires back to whoever sold them to you....they should have never sold them to you if they knew what vehicle they were going on. The number on the tire does NOT directly relate to your payload capacity....at all. There are E load rated winter tires (Michelin makes one...I've used it)...

If they only take 50psi....they are not commercial rated tires and will not handle the payload you stated. Your van likely came with E rated tires...or 10ply as some call them...and on a 16 inch rim they usually have a weight rating somewhere around 3042 lbs each at 80 psi. Yes...that adds up...

One load does not kill a rear end. And your 2500 Sprinter has a max gross weight of 8550lbs...subtract the 6000 or so it weighs bone empty is now 2500 lbs payload or so...less whatever you carry along (fuel..you..your stuff)...so maybe 2000lbs. weigh it...don't believe the brochure from MB.

Turtle can rebut all he wants...and in HIS van...a Euro diesel boosting cetane likely has many positive benifits...including probably fuel mileage. Turtle will also come out with a lot of facts....his research skills are top notch. Cetane is a value that reflects the ease at which diesel fuel...

So making ALL the diesel in America more expensive for millions of trucks so that maybe 100,000 small Euro disels might run better is helping? US diesels run fine on 40 cetane fuel, they're calibrated for it...and other than making cold starts a bit easier, boosting the cetane has no affect on...
