    Who knows Hino's

Iveco trucks are Italian Weave. Most of the parcel vans FedEx had/have are built on Iveco chassis. As for the repairs on the Japanese trucks I can tell you this. My brother drives a car carrier for a large auto auction in Maryland and drove a UD for the first 4 years he was there. The truck...

    Bill says hit those headlights

Most new cars (every GM model also currently) already have 'daytime running lights' which is legal for the wipers on lights on laws. Even my 1997 Astro has DRL. Also for those keeping score Maryland also has this law regarding headlights on in bad weather. -- Mike N

    sprinter

I thought the Sprinter looked to be too small when they first started to appear in the UPS and FedEx fleets. The local FedEx terminal to my DX terminal is a regular stop for me in the evenings when I am working clean up. Most of the drivers I have spoken with about the Sprinter love the truck...

So I cannot help but wonder what they define as 'better'. They've been through Ford E-350's, small P vans and Sprinters. So are they going to design their own van? ;) -- Mike N

    Aerocell question

OVM, Yes about 20 hours a week. However, (there is *always* a however) I am doing premium work. The regular on demand couriors make about what I make in 40+ hours. I have *earned* a spot at the top of the food chain here in our terminal because I am smart, reilable, courtious, customer service...

The Astro is waaaaay too small for this kinda work. While it is a 1/2 ton van it is just not heavy duty enough for the work I do. I have chronic brake replacement problems and such. I will say that other than the Astro being too light (read as not heavy duty) for this kind of work I overall like...

    Aerocell question

    >Btw TW Master how they treating you down there? at DX right? Hiya OVM! I am doing ok for now. DX is treating me ok for now as well. I am doing a mail route every weekday. 4 stops, 109 miles from my door and back takes me 3-4 hours to do and I am done. Pays $669 per week. I also get some other...

    sprinter

The Sprinter is a little funny on hard turns and can get hung up if you drive a front tire over a curb or something. The reason is the thing is too rigid. The suspension does not have enough flexibility to deal with that sort of thing. I have seen 2 different Sprinters (one from DHL) stuck due...

    Aerocell question

Thanks Tony and OVM, How did the hinges feel to you? I could not look inside the van because they could not find the keys at the Ford dealer I saw it at. I may take a ride ovver there Monday evening since it will be a short work day. I like the space the thing seems to have. The other van I was...

    Aerocell question

The truck I looked at was a 2003 left over with the lift up door. So my question remains. -- Mike N

    Aerocell question

My Astro is starting to give me more greif than I need and I recently saw an Aerocell van at a local Ford dealer. My biggest concern with this thing is the way the rear door opens. This *looks* weak. HAve any of you that run Aerocells had a problem with this? Thanks, -- Mike N

    Who knows Hino's

That is a sharp looking truck. A former business associate had a Hino wrecker and loved it. I wasn't aware Hino was Toyota. That is kinda neat to know as Toyota is a top quality product. -- Mike N

    I'm going to stay put.

Well I have decided that Expediting is not for me. At least not right now. Before I go on I want to thank the folks who took the time to *honestly* answer my (and all the other newbies/wannbee's) questions posted in this here forum. Thank you! After reading the adventures of folks like...

What kind of annual Gross....Round 2...keep it civ

RE: What kind of annual Gross....Round 2...keep it Thanks Weave. I was getting the impression that was the $$$ range. I got word today they are adding another stop on my regular run so this will add another $1,000 a month to my bottom line. And as you pointed out I am home *every* night so I...
