Whatever you do...when you get answers, pay close attention to what year of Sprinter the person is talking about. Pre 07 vs 07-09 (DPF) vs 10 and up (DEF+DPF) are different animals as far as costs to run.
Ahhh....a nice old Detroit. Turns fuel into noise, smoke, oil leaks and horsepower...in that order. Heck if he's fixated on the small engine try a nice 3-53....I'm sure at somewhere near 7000 rpm they would make enough hp to lug around a 5th wheel. Better get the extra HD signal flasher to keep...
If you look carefully (and I have)... Steve's units are constructed quite differently than the average box unit....and with very expedite things/thinking at the core of the design. The chip trucks are much more conventional and are also designed for the rigors of mainly urban delivery use. You...
Better carry a few spare engines with you. Transposing what a purpose built truck engine can do into a car engine trying to operate on the same scale is.....well....silly.
This venture would certainly qualify for a "stepping over dollars to pick up pennies" award.
Tolls - Bridges & Tunnels - The Port Authority of NY & NJ
Class 2...specifically kicks in with dual rear wheels. Increases tolls (a lot) across the board.
WV, like many other EZ pass roads has a 2 axle toll, and a more expensive 2 axle over 7'6" in height toll. In this case a Sprinter pays the...
Yes sir. I saw the load locations being shown in circle shapes with a number, but didn't see a specific reference to the push pins...at least in the printed materials anyways. The rest did seem pretty intuitive...so thumbs up to the developers!
What do they weigh empty?
If they are anything like the ones Frito Lay has in Canada...with no bunk or personal affects you'll be good for 700 lbs of payload on a very weak aluminum floor.
Wish more drivers did that. I'm always amazed at the guys who are last in a suddenly stopped line of traffic that sit there without their flashers on..sitting ducks!
Of all the people who said they were going to write the book on expediting... I look forward to someday reading Moot's version the most.
And to keep it simple for Starman 'cause he's too busy(?) to read...
Moot is smaaawt...pay attention.
Remember OVM....you needed to replace your engine...I wouldn't call that a million miles of just basic maintenance. I do agree that I don't think any of the current Euro sized offerings from anyone will go 1 million on basic maintenance. Moot/Scott came close with a old style US van...but I...
