Dollars and Cents: It's just a cup of coffee.

A good lesson in planning ahead. I thought it was going to be about not drinking coffee which to me is not possible nor desirable.

Disgruntled FEDEX CC st8 truck drivers.....Where are they gonna go?? Landstar?? L1??

Re: Disgruntled FEDEX CC st8 truck drivers.....Where are they gonna go?? Landstar?? We're staying at FDCC but were also not disgruntled. A little sad but not disgruntled. It looks like every carrier but landstar is looking into this and it will probably be the model into the coming years.

    truck size question

You could redo all the cab/sleeper mounts to hard rubber and directly bolted to the truck frame and eliminate the gaps between the cab/sleeper/box. Should get you the space you need. I would recommend putting in an airbag front end though.

    FedEx Truck, Bus Crash

I've seen an 18 wheeler get into the median and go into the cables. The cables straightened the rig up and let it slow down to a stop without getting out of the median. I like them. It did send debris from the ground and the truck all over the oncoming traffic though.

    Tired of being ignored

We just swapped out our box lights to led's. I have had no desire to add more lights, this was just because I'm tired of getting the ladder out to change bulbs, but after changing these few out I'm starting to get an itch...

UPS May Hire 250 Teamster Jobs

As with most things it really depends on the driver. In my old company we used ups a lot. My ups driver was terrible but my parents was the greatest so we started taking deliveries at their house and I'd come once a day and pick them up. It just depends on the persons attitude, much like in our...

    What's next?

I didn't even know there was a survey. How long ago was it sent out?

    What's next?

Depends. Is this a last ditch effort to save FDCC or is this just a way to increase profit or is this because the drivers asked for it as the fleet message said? With the amount of work coming in it doesn't seem like FDCC needs saved as much as it wants to be more profitable. Its a great service...

    MATS FedEx breakfast!

Sounds like no one attended or FDCC threatened/bribed them to secrecy.

    Overweight on steer

Oh, they do this because the emissions from your APU running are less than that of your engine running. So you help save the environment.

    Overweight on steer

Some states value air quality over road safety/construction/maint. So they allow you to deduct the weight of your APU from the weight of your vehicle at the scales. Only some states allow this and you have to have to certificate that came with your APU that shows the official weight of your APU.

    Flat rate???

Actually, from what I hear, TK is developing a special refer for w/g exclusive to FDCC. This is so you can buy one at any dealership, no fine tuning needed, no parking in green for t-val testing, hopefully to make life easier and yada yada yada. I just hope the tk refers hold up better than my...

    Boom! In your face TK!

    Flat rate???

Wow. I didn't realize a w/g team could bring that kind of money in. I haven't driven w/g so if my ignorance on the subject shows that is why. I do hope in some time though someone will say the same about me as I try to advance into fleet ownership and I'm blessed to have couples such as...

    Flat rate???

Yes, but to get those rates they would have to go back to surface also. A t-val w/g team would still do better. It's an interesting comparison though.

    Overweight on steer

Atleast no one cares with that little over. I was 1300 over once and they cared about that.

    Overweight on steer

Can you burn off 34 gallons of diesel by n.c.? Or arrive after scale house closes? We are very close on our steers and commonly go over. No more than 200lbs usually. I've only been hassled by it in Oregon. Nobody else seems to care.

Just curious, how did that compare to your actual income?
