G.W Bush is not the problem, the problem is the top guys at BP/Amoco,Shell (which is a Dutch Company) the Saudi!s...

    D5261 Forced Retirement

Hey there is no need to bash this guy,for someone who has been a member of the forum for about 2 weeks you seem to know a lot about him. Granted FDX CC puts a time limit on a trucks life with them, however performance rather then age should be the major factor as too whether or not a truck stays...

    Oklahoma Cab Card

Well it!s official,I called this Richard Shepardson today and he told me that the legal department of the state of Oklahoma reviewed the lease agreement from FDX CC and Conway Now and they belive it is more of an independendent contractors agreement instead of a true lease, and they will no...

    Number Crunching

You left out 1 important cost.Up where you live there are tolls and tolls and BIG TIME tolls. I spent last week floating between Philadelphia,Baltimore and Boston. It seems like every 10 miles another $6-7 is going into the hand of a toll booth collector. You would think that they could at least...

    Oklahoma Cab Card

The way that I understood the new rules to be was that an independent trucking company would now have to have some type of physical presence in Oklahoma. The owner operator who was leased on to a trucking company was still going to be able to register in Oklahoma through the various agents that...

    Oklahoma Cab Card

I called the Fern Bennet agency last thursday to inquire about my 2003 Registration and Cab Card. I was told by some one that they just found out on Wedensday that Oklahoma was not going to renew registrations for trucks leased to Fedex CC and Conway Now. The reason is that in the lease...

    FUEL PRICES

Last week I paid $1.65 for diesel at the Pilot in Bloomsbury NJ.$1.50 per gallon at the TA in Paulsboro NJ,then on Friday in Asland VA at the Mr Fuel $1.57 and in Georgia at the Williams on I95 in Kingsland $1.59..getting scarey when low cost states like VA and Ga have these prices..

Sorry but you are obviously pushing something to benefit you. This forum is set up for all of us that are in the expedite truckinmg industry. We are all hard working folks, think nothing of leaving home at 2300 or so to make a buck so snake oil salesmanship doesn!t really go on this site.

    What Expediting companies should know

I have always felt that for inside pick ups and inside deliveries we should get at least 95% of the accesory charge. We are using our lift gate, our $450.00 pallet jack our expertise and labor etc.One time just for the heck of it I posed a question:since I am only getting 58% of the inside labor...

    the longest 100 miles.

I have run that segment from San Antonio to ElPaso many times. It!s amazing that whenever you leave San Antonio the engine seems to run rough and you start hearing strange noises and you are afraid to stop as you know there must be a major leak somewere. But stangely enough when you get to ElPaso...

    Laredo

Well think about it,now that the border has been opened to Mexican trucking companies and while the restrictions are harsh for now they will get easier as time goes by.So freight that may have been transfered in Laredo can now be trucked all the way by a Mexican driver earing 50% less then his...

    HAZ-MAT FOR CARGO VANS

    air ride seat

To say that an FL 70 doesn!t ride very well is an understatement.Several years ago I purchased 2 of the Roho seat air cushions and they are absolutely great.I used to have hip problems and these cushions eliminated that.We even take them from the truck to our car when we are home. They cost...

    Remote block heater

Weave I might want to get one of these generators, looks like you could put that 15 amps through an inverter and get enough 110 to power a small electric heater. Is it very noisy when running??
