    Dick Armey on John Stewart

DD, if I wear a baseball style cap, the bill faces forward, as intended. I do not understand why anyone, over the age of ten, would wear the cap backward. Regarding my underwear, never visible to the general public. Hope this answer is helpful.

    Dick Armey on John Stewart

Well, this confirms my paranoid belief that I'm a NOBODY. I try to catch the Daily Show every night. If not at 11:00 pm, then the next day, on the internet machine. I also believe in trying to watch shows that offer a differing opinion; not just what supports "my side".

    The Garden Corner

The "lite" Duke's would be considered really uncool around here. We go thru almost 2 jars(48 oz.size) every 2 weeks, of the regular. My daughter, that lives in Ohio, always stocks up when she comes to visit.

That's good news about the Duke's! We cant' hardly put together a meal without it. Things like pimento cheese & chicken salad wouldn't be the same. BTW, looked at some squirrel repellant at Lowes. It was like 18 effin' dollars! I can buy a lot of tomatoes for $18, at the farmer's market.

The federal-government can do most anything in this country

Are any of our resident conservative members surprised at yesterday primary results? It seems that "tea party" candidates didn't fare to well. Do you see this as a rejection of the ultra-right, or mainstream Republicans steering towards the middle? I, even though a Democrat, was glad to see...

    Extending Unemployment Benefits

Maybe, if the jobs paid a living wage, they could find workers that would accept the positions. Why would anyone be expected to take a job making less money. Would a van driver tell dispatch that he/she doesn't want the $1.00 per mile run, "give me the .85 per mile run, please?

It is getting more stupid out there every day!!

I asked a friend of mine if he had ever seen an eggplant. He said that of course he had seen an eggplant. So, I told him that... , , , , , , , he had been further up a chicken's butt than I had!!

    ticket fixers

I like Ken's solution: Don't speed! Then you won't have to get your knickers all bound up trying to justify the FACT that you were, indeed, going faster than the posted speed limit.

    These people are nuts....

Personally, a/c is what allows me to leave the house periodically. Having a/c in the home allows me to go for short periods w/o being tethered to my oxygen tank. Car a/c makes it possible to attend to business that has to be done in person. So, may I keep my a/c?
