    Super D unit

There wouldn't be many loads even ltl's you wouldn't qualify for with a unit like that. Parking space would almost be the same as a d unit. With Landstar any unit over 32’ is considered E unit plus we are able to negotiate rate on every load. Makes life much easier as it lessens some of...

    Is Canada necessary??

Landstar Express America pays an additional $200.00 for any pick-up or delivery within the 5 Boro's. Personally I have no problem with runs in NYC though Friday going to JFK can be difficult. Only had a few runs into Canada when I was a driver for O/O leased with FedEx CC had to deadhead out...

    Lift Gates

With Landstar Express America I usually get $150 additional for use of liftgate. During the last 6 months 90% of my runs included liftgate. Now the previous 3 months I only had need for it 10% of runs. If I was getting another truck it would also be a used one with liftgate and generator...

    Best paying dedicated frieght?

Are you an O/O or a driver? Are you leasing trailer? If O/O can't see where 1.00-1.10 would allow one profit unless accepting load just to get to better freight area.

    Best paying dedicated frieght?

Van, straight truck or tractor each will pay differently. Driving a D unit I wouldn't accept a run paying $1.00 to $1.10 unless I was desperate to get into a better freight lane area.
