Anyone catch the Travel Channel show last night?

RE: Anyone catch the Travel Channel show last nigh Just the other day or last week, when gambler was on a roll about the company owned trucks, I was thinking that very same thing. I looked at it, thought about it, and came up with 2 possible reasons. 1 They do it so we know whom it is they are...

Paperback! If I were you I wouldn’t loose any sleep over someone liking you or not. I have learned allot about meeting people and the things they will say and on paper, or on the CB radio, the phone, or the Internet. You get the picture! It is a complete turnaround than if you meet them in...

    Is there a "good" company??

RE: Is there a Well Wannabe! I think it’s like this. What may be good to you is not so good to me. Bkkeystone, knew the answer before he even ask it. He was hoping that a miracle happened over night, that he wasn’t aware of. In this field it is a cut throat business, and most companies or...

Hi Zingfu As I said in the reply I may be wrong. You bring up a very interesting point. Ever notice the number of threads replied to when there is a bunch of negative cut ups, and BS in a thread. There are very little replies to the positive threads. Larry makes a good statement, and I’m will...

3/4 Ton or 1 Ton Van? GM, Ford or Chrysler?

Larry! I think, to each his own. Fords hold up and so do Chevy’s. I personally like the Chevy. I have 4 3500 ext vans running hard very hard. I run the one I drive 600 miles every day and I cruse around 75, all day. At times I run 250 miles without stopping. The van has 150000 and the only cost...

    Does home base location matter?

I blew right past that part of your question. I run the Philly a lot, and I always see trucks going and coming. My guess is they go in and out of the big apple. I think you are in a fairly good location, and shouldn’t have a problem getting home.

    Does home base location matter?

You and about 500 others are wanting to do the same thing. Read the other threads on this site, then ask yourself the same question. How much work, do all you guys/girls think is out there to deliver, with vans? If you want to deliver one load a week or maybe less, the van is the way to go. If...

    Dynamex

Hi OntarioVanMan! That is a great update! I am willing to bet it does one of 2 things for the new drivers down here, or the drivers not doing all that good. Hopefully it will give them some hope, and something to look forward to, or it will have all the not so lucky drivers, that don’t know the...

    GENERAL RV TRANSPORTING

Also keep in mind the deadhead miles are equal to the trip miles. You don’t get paid for the deadhead miles, as a rule of thumb. Although some companies may pay them. I too heard the pay per mile is low.

    FEDEX CC New Dispatch Crap

ATeam! Where in my reply to you and gambler did I say that FCC management or employees ran their own trucks? You must be confused again! If you would have followed the WHOLE thread as the rest of us did, and once again knew the lingo, you would understand what he was saying. His statement “it is...

    Is there a "good" company??

RE: Is there a Sean! The guy that told that JB story is the Tax Master of EO. He is the moderator of the tax forum on this site. I would have to say if Frank posted it, then 90 % of it is true. I would say100% but who speaks of all that with out some exaggeration? I could believe it. Some...

    FEDEX CC New Dispatch Crap

ATeam! Gambler is saying is that management, and/or employees of FCC own trucks and lease them onto FCC, just like you or I would do, and hire drivers to run them. He is saying they are the ones that have the advantage over the rest of the fleet, because they get the best trips, or the cream of...

    Is there a "good" company??

RE: Is there a "good" company I take you don’t have much of a hankering for dispatchers. Nice story Frank! But what Expediter do you know that has the cahoneys to pull off something like that.

    Is there a "good" company??

If he wanted it there that bad and that fast, then he should have sent them by air. If I were you I would have pushed the issue, about him lying to the receiver. Sit back for a moment and read all the threads on this forum. Now ask yourself the same question??? If you look hard enough, you may...

Hybrid Electric Diesel; A Sign of Things to Come?

RE: Hybrid Electric Diesel; A Sign of Things to Co Listening to RFK Jr. cry tunes, the other day, and in trying to put together some of what he was saying, (because if you ever heard him answer a question, you would know what I mean) I would have to agree with you Weave, about not ever seeing...

    ASAP

I won’t say that no one knows about then. I personally don’t, but I see a truck every blue moon. When I did the west run I would see their trucks more often. Of the few drivers that I did talk to they told me they did a lot of short trips, and a lot of deadhead miles. The funny thing was this 1...
