Not sure why you would be happy about that? Not sure this is the appropriate place to discuss it either, but ?? If it did happen, hate to see it. I hate to see anyone lose a job in this economy. Brandon has been good to me. Hopefully just a rumor.

I kind of blame the fleet owner for that too. They were obviously in communication with the FO. He should have, at minimum, reminded them to notify dispatch. As new drivers, it would be easy to underestimate the importance of that communication. They should have had better guidance...imo...

Most drivers likely work on linehaul %.... the flat rate number I've heard is .30/mile for van drivers. Obviously, that probably varies from driver to driver, fleet owner to fleet owner. I don't know any specifics....never done it. For what it's worth...the $1.50/mile is probably close to...

Well, you could try sleeping during the warmer parts of the daylight hours and spending the night inside a truckstop where its warm. I hear thats all the rage these days..lol

Hoping it picks up for everyone. Freight will move again. I'm on the mend...still got a couple issues (financial will be one of them...weighing some options there), but feeling a lot better. The cold/flu is mostly gone. The shoulder is healing. There is a terrible rash left behind in the area...

Actually they've been calling it that for 20 years now probably. If memory serves correctly, DaveKC may have some experience from back in the day.

You pay the price when it's slow and reap the rewards when it picks up. My experience with C&M was in a straight truck, but we stayed busy. They have a strong, diverse freight base. Their slow periods are generally shorter and less frequent than a lot of other carriers because of their diversity...
