RE: Sleepers When the Bentz web site is up and running it can be found at www.bentzusa.com

    Where has everyone gone

Those are all excellent examples of the reason for less traffic on the forum and all are probably correct, including my own reason for not visting the site as often as I would like. Mainly the when we are running, we run very hard to maximise our revenue when the freight is out there. Sometimes...

Ok is it really that slow??????

PooPooKitty, I don't don't think anyone, espesially an "old hand" in the business is trying to put you down or make light of your situation. We all have gone thru tough times As DaveKC said, the best plan is to put it away before you need it. Yes it is tough, but one of the ways to improve your...

Average % of empty miles in a week/month

Yup, that's everything to the truck. I did forget to say we are a team with a C-unit. During that period of time we accepted everything offered to us and also had a breakdown that put us out of service for a day.

    Most intersting Load so far?

Well, because my memory gets shorter as I get older, I could only remember about a week ago when we had an art load from Raleigh, NC to St. Petersburg, FL. The painting was an original Monet in it's original frame. That was cool enough for me, but what made the trip memorable was the courier...

    Is It Happening Again?

    > >Oh oh! Here we go again... Down the path that may cause this >otherwise useful thread to be deleted. Let's try to keep >that from happening this time, OK? > I'm know some people think I only come on this forum to cause trouble but I really only want the readers to have all the facts so...

Anyone have a good recommendation for reefer in a

RE: Anyone have a good recommendation for reefer i I feel the same way as SpecialK does. Less trucks, more opportunity. When we went from a van to a "C" unit we wanted a reefer so we would not run out of freight in the lean times. Yeah it was a heck of a lot of money especially with a premium...

    FECC "CONTEST"

We are still in the running and really haven't changed anything about the way we run. We like the fact that we can always run legal, we can alway turn down cheap freight, and we can run our business as we see fit. Personally I like the idea that the prize is 10 owners each get $25,000. If you...

RE: can a moderator tell me why my post was sudden Gambler, I am really offended by your treatment of Tom in your posts. Please think about the golden rule here. In case you have forgotten, it's DO UNTO OTHERS AS YOU WOULD HAVE THEM DO UNTO YOU . I can only guess ( judging your personality by...

How to get out of the D-trucks

Save your money and your time. You have a good start with a driving school education where you learned some things you might not have learned for a couple of years on the road by yourself. Now is not the time to stop asking other truckers questions. Most are willing to share, here, and the...

CHANGE OF CAREER OR MID LIFE CRISIS?

Wow, what a question. I agree very strongly with the other three answers. You can never do enough research. You also couldn't have picked a worse time to get into this industry. The good thing is, we seem to have more freight than we can handle, But we are also paying $.50 a Gal more for fuel...

    Someone PLEASE call me ignorant....

RE: OK, You're Ignorant OK, MPG. You're ignorant. Luckily that doesn't mean you are stupid. You seem well read and well informed in a number of disciplines. But your negative attitude toward people (of all races) and shallow understanding of the practices in this industry will probably make...

    Fed Ex Contractor lawsuit

RE: Uniform Envy It's just a suggestion, but if you don't like wearing the FedEx Custom Critical uniform, and don't like to represent the FedEx Custom Critical name, you can go to work for a company that is "not as good as FedEx" and you will be much happier with your life.

    Dream Van

Straps for Bunk Totally excellent vehicle! You might be able to use a bunk seat belt from a trashed big truck sleeper. That would give you a set of belts with a net between them. I'm glad I'm not entering a van at the expo this year. Please bring your truck so we can all drool in person.

    Truck Vs Cargo Van

The advantages are a lot less paperwork, a lot less cost to deadhead home(so you get to be home more), you get to spend more nights in motels ,and less cost up front if you're buying your own truck. Less Paperwork = No Logs or Green coming in. Less cost to Deadhead = More Deadhead. More time in...

    Health Ins.? Benefit Solutions Group?

I have had very good service with our HSA thru Golden Rule Insurance Company. In the two years since I have been with them, my health deteriorated and have had 1 major operation and 2 minor operations. They paid everything above the yearly deductable without question.

    KENWORTH T300

I may be wrong since I haven't looked at a DT466 for years but aren't they a lot less horsepower than the cummins 300? We are running a Mercedes 280 with a allison MD 3060P .That's a 6 speed that will take 850 pounds of torque. It's a good transmission but you must service them a minimum of once...
