We have always ran on 10hr shifts. This way we never run out of hours,no need to reset. They should leave the current hos the way they are. We are adults,not children who need to be told when to sleep.

Trail mix & fruit, green tea.Sleeping 4-6 hours before my shift really helps.We try to split the run so one of us drives till 1-2 am then we switch. Splitting the night shift works great for us. If time allows,we will stop the truck from 1-3am.

If you are going too use the off duty driving ,you can drive from point A,to point B,then back to point A.You can not be on a load,or pre-dispatched.
