    Beer, gambling, golf, and sex!

A man was walking down the street when he was accosted by a particularly dirty and shabby-looking homeless man who asked him for a couple of dollars for dinner. The man took out his wallet, extracted ten dollars and asked, "If I give you this money, will you buy some beer with it instead?"...

    Liftgate for Vans/Sprinters?

I was wondering about the weight myself.. I think it would be weight prohibitive on a regular van, but perhaps 'could' be used on a Sprinter... From the site: 69" x 38" Model... 471 pounds 66" x 48" Model... 501 pounds I guess it would depend on how heavy a company loads you...

    Liftgate for Vans/Sprinters?

Question for all you Sprinter and regular Van owners. Do you think a liftgate on a van/Sprinter would be helpful or a pain? I found this company while flipping thru a Medium Duty Truck Magazine, and was struck by the concept. These have 1000 pound capacity. I remember when I drove a van...

Why we stayed with our carrier

Great post Mike... hopefully others will join in here! This is the kind of information prospective drivers can use, plus.. it will be nice to see a bit of positive info on some companies! Dreamer

    My 2 cents

So how about telling us what salesman would be dumb enough to talk to a prospective buyer like that? I'm sure his boss would love to know! Dreamer

    Tell me if this wrong...

OK.. you confused me at first.. LOL.. I thought YOU were posting the ad! I found the original ad then.. I don't see it as 'wrong' just different. It really depends on what the owner considers 'routine' maintenance. If it's just an oil change, it would be no big deal to me, here's why...

    12 Calls to Tech Support

12 Calls to Tech Support 1. Compaq is considering changing the command "Press Any Key" to "Press Return Key" because of the flood of calls asking where the "Any" key is. 2. AST technical support had a caller complaining that her mouse was hard to control with the dust cover on. The cover...

    Placement of E tracs

*sigh** New to the board, an apparent failure at expediting, but professing to know everything... Dang.. I've laughed so hard tonight.. I'm tellin ya, I needed that! If you bothered to read any posts or had any actual experience with a van, you would know that E-track in the floor is VERY...

    Placement of E tracs

Is this a C or D unit? You may have trouble with only a 90 inch wide box, you might want to check with your carrier... Reason why.. most pallets are 48" wide, and you need to be able to set them 2 wide... so you need about 98".. Now, if this is a van, or box van.. never mind! Dreamer

    Owner Operator Question ?

    >I think ATEAM and Tom need to get a room.:* :) Ok.. that was uncalled for. ATEAM may not be a driver of many years experience yet, but everything he wrote in that post had to do with financial truths.. and I think we can all agree.. it was true. I'm a former stockbroker, my family owns...

    Trade in Value

Seems pretty low to me, considering simlar trucks are going for much more than that... example, this link from another EO sponser, FYDA Freightliner which is near me: http://www.expeditersonline.com/am/listings/l0071.html Especially since you've got more accessories..I'm not positive how it...

Why you should always check bridge height...

I think another thing people forget is their accessories... I had a buddy of mine do thousands of dollars of damage to a truck in an underpass near my house, He had been thru there plenty of times, and knew a truck would fit... tho barely...however, he had started for a new company.. that had...
