    Panther bashing at truck stops?

I have never heard anything positive about P-II, but I have to admit all the stories I heard were from Ex-Panther drivers now working for other companies. When I got into this, Panther and FedEx were the companies I was interested in. I went with FECC, because I never heard a positive thing...

    Hino

I drive a Hino 338 with AA 96" sleeper and 24 foot box, gets about 8 mpgs, with the automatic. We have over 80k miles on it with no troubles at all. I don't have any complaints about the truck at all. Hino dealers are mostly a disapointment though, if you deal with Nally in Atlanta or any...

Why do I mostly see FECC trucks in Layover.

I am a contractor with FECC, it occurred to me that when I pull into a truck stop and it doesn't seem to matter where it is, I almost always will find another FECC truck. I almost never see a panther II straight truck, I occasionally see Landstar, but most of the time there is an FECC truck...

Another Couple Of Months Of No Work I Hear

It is slow right now - I find it a little curious that those who claim to be having a record year, still have time to post on EO. I will have to call BS on anybody who claims to be busy yet still has the time to hit the posting forums.

    wat's going on!!!!!!!!

Ive been in Omaha 3 days now with one offer that worked out to less than a buck a mile taking me to North Dakota!!! This sucks!!! it has been dead slow for us since February, I wish I hadn't let the wife talk me into a straight truck - definitely should have bought a tractor. Oh well. If...

    fdxcc

The short answer to your question is "NO", FECC has a income pamphlet that they give out to potential contractors. The numbers are from a year ago and they give you fleet averages for the different truck sizes. Thier numbers are accurate, and they look good until you subtract out all of your...

    Hino Vs Freightliner

Buy the truck that gets the better fuel mileage. Ask to see the fuel tax reports, they show how many gallons per mile the truck actually runs. I like my Hino, but it I could swap it for a truck that was reasonably reliable but got 10 MPG's I would.

Rush Truck Center Service / NON-Service

Resolution : I called my trucks manufactures rep. to raise hell. That tactic worked - Immediately - Rush's service manager called me, the next day. He was real friendly, right up until I asked for my money back, then he got annoyed. However, he agreed he would have the money refunded. He never...

Rush Truck Center Service / NON-Service

Curious if this is an anomaly, or have others enjoyed similar experiences at a Rush truck center 1. Rush in San Antonio Texas , went in for an oil change and transmission fluid change (Auto_Tranny) Rush charged 330 for 30 minute tranny drain, then filled me with 4 gallons and not the required...

    Hino Vs Freightliner

I have a hino 338 with 96" AA sleeper and an automatic transmission. Get about 8 MPG's, we have 86k on the truck and have not had any mechanical issues at all. Hino has a 3 year unlimited mile warranty, with towing and roadside assistance. There are plenty of places to get service, I would...

Home Time Didn't Work - DH 2200 miles UT to NC

Home time with FECC works like this. 1. Go out of service 2. Drive Home When your are out of money or want to go back to work then, 3. Go Back in service If you live out west then you might get authorized dead head back to the east, but only after you sit a day or two. I understand with...

Money with owning your on trk

With a straight truck, as an owner-driver you'll probably net 60k a year, assuming you're a team operation, if you work as a driver for an owner you can expect 45 to 50k (Team Income). Expeditors talk about all the money they make, but gross income doesn't mean much. I'm an owner with FECC...

    Selective Code Enforcement?

Go to your city council and have the rule changed. Most of the things that make our lives miserable come from local government. Everybody watch's what Pres Bush is doing, but nobody pays attention to thier own city council.

    Crooked drivers

I know this will upset you all, but oh well. My wife and I looked into working as drivers for a couple of companies. We found out that as a team we'd be looking at making 45 to 60k a year as our cut of the trucks income. I was making 38k as solo tractor driver and she was making 34k,working in...

    What Satellite company.....

I have seen guys mount the on Chrome Handles on the side of thier truck. It looks cleaner than a mirror install. I have seen the handles for sale at chrome shops. They are for a handhold when you get into the truck and they mount onto the cab behind the door, or wherever you want if it is for...

    Fantastic Fan

I have a fantastic fan and though I think it is a neat idea it rarely gets used. unless you park at rest stops or parks when you turn on your fanatstic fan you start sucking diesel exhaust at a high rate into your truck. Another issue with it is that it rattles like crazy when you are moving...

    ABC Box Company

Is this company going broke? My box leaks when it rains, so I figure I would get it repaired while at home in CA. According to ABC's website they have repair facilities all over the country. NOT, the one in Fontana, CA closed years ago, along with San Diego. It to me several phone calls to this...
