Less Than a Buck to laredo

LOL, They just hit me with the laredo run for 1.04, the weight is now 7k, hum. Guess i'll pass on that too. According to ATBS there is a 6 to 1, frieght to truck ratio. So the rates should be high as hell right now, not dragging in the dirt. I,m puzzled.

Less Than a Buck to laredo

Lol, I,m in chicago, I've had 14 load offers all less than a buck a mile, except one which was a hundred mile run with 3 stops for 150. Even a Laredo texas run with less than 50 miles dead head came in at .97 Total for 6500 pounds. I think the fecc bokers must be passing a crack pipe around

    TA fuel sucks?

I have noticed whenever I buy fuel at TA my truck sounds terrible. Knocking valvex louder turbo, more vibration. These symptoms disappear when I run Pilot fuel. Has anyone else noticed this pn there truck or is it a mental issue with me.

    1.20 /mile expedite freight

well I real confused now. When I talked to Panther, their rate was 1.20 per mile, this was mid last year. I was actually gonna jump, but I didn't see that I would actually improve, but just change the sticker on my truck. Now I see the panther folks talking , the big money im very puzzled...

    1.20 /mile expedite freight

The trouble with the Fed, is there ridiculous load offer system, which makes it appear that they have all this low rate junk. Whick they have a lot of, but when they send the same crap load out to 3 trucks at once, it magnifies the appearance of crap. Then when a good load finally comes...

    1.20 /mile expedite freight

that is total per mile rate. Personally I don't break out accessorials, or FSC or tolls. I always figure the flat rate. If I,m offered 1.50 load would I turn it down because it had 0 FSC? No. It has always seemed to me the bottom line is what counts.

    1.20 /mile expedite freight

I just checked on Feds extra-net and according to them this year my average rate is 1.21 per mile. Which is probably correct because I turn down more than half of the loads that were offered. I guess I should be clear that the low rates are what is offered and not what I run at, except for a...

    1.20 /mile expedite freight

Fedex is getting the better part of the deal for sure, 60% split is crazy in my view. But it seems to be par for the course. BTW, 1.50 gross * .6 = .90. As for becoming a partner carrier, I had considered getting my own authority, and have even been approached by local brokers, however to...

Caterpillar claims C9 unsuitable to task

Leo, just file against them in Federal District Court, u can do it for a couple hundred bucks, they'll **** because defending a federal suit is very costly, they'll settle. You can probably find a paralegal to help with the forms to file if you dont know how. Represent Yourself in Court -...

    1.20 /mile expedite freight

I am a team operation, and yes the miles suck. We get 3 to 4 runs per week and our average is 800 miles per load. Anyway at least I have an income. BTW if hadn't been for my successful stock speculation last year we would have gone broke.

    Electrical Question

Get a RV deep cycle battery to replace ur regular starter battery. you can get a decent one at Sears for about 80 bucks. Then u should be able to go an hour or two wth no problems. Your inverter is too weak though. For max efficiency and safety your inverter should be rated for twice the...

    Do Dispatchers Lie?

Yes, but not very often. More often than lying they leave out pertinent details. Like having to hand-load 3000lbs of banker boxes. Which was left out of the phone call to get me to take a load, then sprung on me by the shipper. When I called back to dispatch, new dispatcher tells me oh thats...

    Hino "D" unit

That APU looks just like mine when you take the cover off. They're almost all made by the same company in Canada, TeleDyne Power or something. I'm sure the new ones have finally got all the bugs worked out. The same company in Cnanda makes the Carrier, T-King, and well diamond power. They a...

    Hino "D" unit

No i didn't I was in between samples and the previous one didn't show anything unusual. The after repair oil sample had them calling me to ask if had had the head off. I do long interval on my oil samples, 20k Hinos burn super-clean so there is hardly any carbon build up at all. anyway...
