    Discount for shipping FedEx packages

As FedEx contractors, do we get a discount for shipping ground packages? I usually send them USPS, but might try FedEx if the price is right.

Is there something I can do? (load transfer)

You guys tell me, anything I can do, anybody I can talk to so this does not happen any more? Or am I just that unlucky? 90% of the time when I get a transfer load I get the short end of the stick. And here I am talking about the first part of the transfer, not the second part when there is no...

    Common Sense or lack thereof

Saturday morning at around 4 o'clock I get a call with a load opportunity for Monday morning. Couldn't this have waited until day time to be given out? Did they really have to wake up a bunch of us for a load that would not pick up for other 50+ hours? Or is it just me?

    Insurance

Do you get your insurance through FedEx, or on your own from other place? Why one or the other? I get mine through FedEx, haven't looked around for other insurance. Too easy not to worry about paying it on time and stuff like that since it comes out of the paycheck. I might miss on a better...

    Pirates

Tell me what is wrong with this picture? Yahoo! British navy follows these 2 boats, pirates surrender, they discover on board machine guns, RPGs, ammo, and a few other things, they even blow up one of the boats, but they let the scumbags go because of 'apparently insufficient evidence'. What...

    Pro Numbers

What is the difference between the pro numbers that start with 2xxxxxxx.x and 5xxxxxxx.x? Prior to this year I used to do about 90% of the ones starting with 2. This year has changed. I do about 80% of the 5's.

    Bluetooth Headset

What bluetooth headset are you using? Would you buy the same one again if the one you have quit working? I have a small Motorola, I forget the model, which is good at home or walking, but when the truck is moving I have trouble hearing. I would like to buy one that works better for our...

    Conference call with Jason Frederick

For those that were on the conference call this morning, what do you think about the things discussed? Just a reminder, there is still a chance to get on. Every top of the hour until 3 pm or so.

What is the strangest load that you did as an expediter?

About a year ago I took a $75,000 diamond ring from Atlanta to Memphis. Paid very good. I had to wait about an hour in the parking lot for them to arrange payment before I could deliver. It was a young guy that I delivered it to. Just hope she said yes, since that is a lot of money there.

How is the new rate working for you?

B unit drivers, how does the new rate work for you? Have you had more offers than before the rate change? What are you doing with the short loads (>75 miles)? Any other comments about the new rate? Thanks.

    C-Link question

Let me know please what you would do in my situation. My C-link hasn't worked right since the day it was installed. It would not track right, sometimes better than others, but most of the time it shows me 70 miles away from where I actually am. I even got a service failure because of this...
