To my knowledge, the only "fine" we get for late paperwork is being paid a week later. So far I've always gotten my paperwork in on time. If something came up and I couldn't though, I have no qualms about waiting.

I prefer the percentage. Just the other day I got a 1/2 mile run for about $60. If I got paid mileage on that one I'd have made about 42 cents. For that matter, most of my runs are under 30 miles. Mileage on any of those wouldn't work out to well.
