Captain John Smith "He who shall not work, shall not eat."

Many of 'your' coments bring to mind something I heard RC Sproul say once, "The problem we have in the church is NOT a lack of biblical understanding, but a lack of biblical reading" I had a conversation once with a dude who claimed he went to a Southern Baptist Church almost every Sunday, he...

God helps them who help themselves, is from Poor Richards Almanac, IE a B. Franklinism. Having said that, it certain.ly does fit within the teaching in the bible. Which een our non christian fore fathers like Franklin were very familiar with.

Captain John Smith "He who shall not work, shall not eat."

10 For even when we were with you, we would give you this command: If anyone is not willing to work, let him not eat. 11 For we hear that some among you walk in idleness, not busy at work, but busybodies. 12 Now such persons we command and encourage in the Lord Jesus Christ to do their work...

Rlent, you can't understand the NT without understanding the OT, its the same GOD in both. So if you think Jesus was saying it is godly to support bums and naredowells, I think you have self deludly missed the overarching biblical teaching. Perhaps you might spend some time going through the...

    Miles for new valves

Well, I got the truck back. 6800 bucks mosty labor. I road tested it on the Cajon pass, that's the big hill between ONtario Ca and barstow on the 15. The temperature held fine, and the truck ran up the hill only dropping 5 mph. Which is way better than it was before. It sounds better now than...

I do, I made it myself using 3/4 plywood and wobly wheels, it works great and it has held up way better than any of the store bought china crap ones. Also it has a smaller profile so it fits in my tool box easier. Sent from my SPH-D700 using EO Forums

Sprk plugs don't have expiration dates but they do wear out. If your plugs still look sharp, then gap them and put them in. If they are oily or fulle of soot, that indicates other problems in the engine. Pitting on the electrode is what you normally will see on a worn out plug. To check your...

Even Carriers are having a hard time filling jobs.

This truck drivr shortage is another persisant myth. Let me explain. If there truely was a shortage of drivers, than driver pay would increase and so would rates. I've been around this gig for 7 years and driver pay is exactly where it was when I started. Rates are mostly lower. The reason big...

Dave, The dealer told me my coolant tested positive for exhaust contamination. But I don't know how they tested for it. I don't believe they resurfaced the head, but the people who xrayed and pressure tested it said the head was fine but the valves were leaky. Sent from my SPH-D700 using EO...

    Meg Whitman, it's a lady...............

Meg Whitmann lost because she ran a lousy campaign. She told every different group she met with what they wanted to hear, even if it was conflicting. When askd pointed questions she wouldn't answer. She lost because she campaigned like a democrat. Republican voters won't turn out to vote for...
