    Things I Like about FECC

    1. Get paid on TIME 2. They mostly leave me alone! 3. I can turn down freight and not be put out of service.(Which I do a lot more of these days) 4. It FEELS more secure (feelings do count) 5. National Freight base ( I live in CA) Isn't five things enough?

Less Than a Buck to laredo

Lol, I,m in chicago, I've had 14 load offers all less than a buck a mile, except one which was a hundred mile run with 3 stops for 150. Even a Laredo texas run with less than 50 miles dead head came in at .97 Total for 6500 pounds. I think the fecc bokers must be passing a crack pipe around

    SHock Absorber Maintenance

How often do you guys change your shocks, I for the first time changed the shocks on my HINO, 350k miles - which my mechanic thinks is KRAZY. I noticed the ride in the rear of the truck had become sloppy, the front shocks had resistance on the pull but not the push, so I guess they are shot too...

I use On The Go Transportation Services, to proccess my IRP, through CA DMV. This year we paid our registration 30 days early to make sure it was done ON TIME. 350k miles Blown Head Gasket

I had a head gasket failure on my truck, its at the dealer now. They pulled the ecm and the truck has never over-temped. So I'm a little puzzled. A factory defect should have shown up long before now I think. The truck is a Hino, the mechanic tells me he rarely sees this failure with a hino...

    New VRU vrs Clink theory

It occurred to me today that, the reason there seems to be so much more disparit between clink and VrU load counts is that FECC is passing more of our frieght to their owned divisions like Supply Chain Services. Im no newbie with FECC so I have a basis to know that thought there was occasionall...

    Good News At Last

I was talking to TranCom, today and they told me the Freight tonnage to capacity ratio is improving and though it is not great, the decline has stopped and is now moving up. This should help with rates. Of course things should be picking up in general anyway seasonally. Just thought U...

    fuel surcharge LOL

Today I called in to hear the FECC recorded call of the week. I was pretty amused to know the 9 cent fuel surcharge is there for me. Especially, in light of the fact that everyone has dropped their shorts rate wise to begin with. It made me smile for the first time in months. Also I had a...

He's a speech I wrote for McCain, he wont give it, but I think you'd like to read it. My fellow Americans, over the last week my offices have been barraged by calls from you, with the best of intentions, opposing Hank Paulsons bailout plan. I understand how you feel, in fact I used to...
