    Your Sprinter Sleeper

Turtle, In your experience/opinion would you recommend starting out in this business in a sprinter or a cargo van? I realize everyone has there preference, but if I remember correctly you had a ford first then went to the sprinter. With that knowledge and if you could start over...

    Battery Powered A/C

I'm not an electrician by any means but it appears to me that unit is meant for use while the truck is in operation and the batteries are being recharged "if you will". My limited knowledge of such things tells me running this one off of batteries solely is gonna take a lot of batteries. :o

    Battery Powered A/C

Turtle, I was looking over the Camping World site, and saw they have many a selection of roof mounted A/C units that run on 115 AC. My question is, could one of those work with the right battery pack and inverter set up? Some even have a heat strip that can be added as well. Thanks...

    Retired Military (soon to be)

Looking over the drivers wanted ads on the site, I am wandering how or who will hire a fellow who is getting started in the business? That is to say, how does one get experience? I have read several post saying don't buy a van right off but start as a driver first, but most of the ads are...

I'm a composite technician in the Navy, I truly enjoy the work, but the higher I go in rank the farther from the hands on I become. Kinda takes the fun outta things for me. :( But I enjoy driving, and seeing new places so this line of work kinda appealed to me, I realize as with anything...

Slo-Ride, Well my roots are on the road, my Dad is a 37 year vet of hauling coal and steel, O/O. He retired in 1998, but as a boy I spent many a weekend helping with the maintenance of his KW. And occasionally would go along with him. I fell in love with the lifestyle. But life has a...

    Retired Military (soon to be)

Hello All, As I read threw the threads on this site, it seems expedite work with a cargo van can be a challenge, and rewarding at the same time. I am looking towards this as a job after I retire from the Navy. I've traveled the world, now it's time to travel my country. :o I enjoy all...
