    Nobody Drivin'?

    I've seen several units in the last few days around the St. Louis area...saw an E-1 straight truck last evening westbound on I-64 in O'Fallon, IL, a couple P-2's earlier in the week, a westbound van near the scale house on 55-70 at Collinsville, IL and a straight southbound near Litchfield...

    Cell Phones and your Opinions

    Fastman, my post was in regards to people that I know, not my own specific situation...I have Nextel after giving up on Cingular...I encountered many places where I had no signal...same with Nextel, just different locations...however, for my own needs, I use the walkie-talkie function...

    Cell Phones and your Opinions

    I don't know if these folks have credit problems, just that they automatically loose their service at $200 (which is not an uncommon expenditure for these drivers with the roaming charges they incur)...I can see a problem with paying your bill by phone when your phone service has been turned...

    Cell Phones and your Opinions

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that with Sprint, once your monthly charges reach $200, they turn off your service, and you are required to pay at least a portion of that bill (at your friendly local Sprint store) before they will restore your service...based on information I have...

    Miles?

    Yea, the price I came up with was right off the Chevy site...seemed high to me too, but was the only reference I had...I found some "new" 2004's on www.truckpaper.com that might be worth a look...I think they were about $20k but were listed as E4500's...I guess that would be a 1-ton...no mention...

    Miles?

    I'm looking at the van option and was on the Chevy site (www.chevrolet.com) yesterday, pricing 2005's...3500 express cargo stretch runs over $28,000 base, with the 4800 gas engine...they didn't even list a diesel option..that will make a significant difference in your CPM...but the 'new' peace...

    CoPilot Truck GPS

    Raceman, sorry to hear about your truck...I think escrow is fair if you're using someone elses equipment...kind of like first, last, damage deposit when you rent a dwelling...the owner should expect his property back in pretty much the original shape, minus allowable wear and tear, etc...I hope...

    $ Savings Ideas
