    Panther Discreminating The O/o !!!!

Why does it have to be racist? I hear this too often. There are certain things that a carrier cannot control, white, black, U.S. citizen, Bosnian, Iraqi........ they have no clue. If it makes you feel better to think that is what is in play here, fine. But you are tilting at windmills.

It has little to do with the company you're signed on with, unless it's a small, small fleet.

    Analyzing Freight Slowdown

You hit the nail on the head. Not only is there less freight because of the slow down in the economy, there are more carriers out there trying to get as much of that dwindling freight as possible. Back eight years ago there were only 5 major companies; Roberts, Fedex, Landstar, Tri State, and...

RE: An Economic and Trucking Slowdown is Happening It has been coming for a while now. Texas is practically a ghost town for freight. The south: Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas aren't fareing much better. Every truckstop I've been in has looked like a trucking convention with Panther, All...

Mexican trucks begin this weekend ...

Well, there goes all freight opportunities out of Laredo. It's funny, they put all of these restrictions on the U.S. drivers (Hours of service, logging) and then allow drivers from another country that don't have to follow the rules our contry imposes on it's own people. Funny, yet sad.

call tri state and p2 and talk to a fleet manager. they would give you the best idea of what an owner has to offer and what type of rep they have.

    DLH, Enterprises..DENNIS HARRISON

Kind of abusive. I'm not here to trash anybody so i will jest say this. look elsewhere, there are plenty of other fleet owners with better reps.

    Misconceptions in truckin

I usually try to avoid long, preachy posts on these boards, but I have seen some comments on here that border on the just plain ignorant. Chiefly among these comments are the following: A)Teams should only be offered team runs. What the blazin' heck does this mean? Being a team operation means...
