Great news, the oil pressure is stable on the hills at about 60 psi. The truck has a light load, but as you recall the pressure fluctuated under load or not going up hill. We may have been stretching the oil life too far...? We will continue to monitor this issue and keep you informed.

This is a continuation of an earlier thread.
Piper 1, we have verified the oil dip stick IS the OEM for this engine.
The oil has been changed and filled exactly to the full line on the dipstick (in a TA shop).
Driving to the nearest truck stop, the oil pressure was constant...Now we wait...
I am checking the dip stick and plan on conducting an oil change within the week. I will update this thread with the results.
Thank you for the support!!
Yes, you have it right.
The only time a temp change has been noted is in the warmer seasons.
The oil level is checked and added if necessary after each fuel up. the pressure fluctuations occur as stated even after the scheduled oil change.
The oil I presently use is Rotella.
The truck is a fuller 6 speed manual transmission. The truck can be sailing along at 65 miles an hour about 1850 rpm, oil pressure at about 60psi. As it ascends a small hill loosing no speed, requiring no down shifting, the oil pressure will drop to about 50psi. On steep hills requiring down...

Ok, I'll verify both the oil and coolant levels. I'll watch the gauges on the way to my friend's shop. I'll let my friend check the diagnostics to ensure there are no major issues. Then wewill plan the run to the dealer.
