In the six years we’ve been doing expediting we’ve seen a handful of solo positions. In which half ended badly. My best advice would be to keep checking the classified section on EO. Maybe even posting you own add for fleet owners to find you.

Have not used it much. Can’t say for sure. We are looking into getting some auto socks for trucks. If they are in your budget may not be bad to have. Really easy to put on and work great from what I’ve heard.

Our biggest tip would be watch the temperatures and watch the roads. If it snows one night then the sun comes out and melts a lot of snow, then it starts to freeze again, chances are the roads will ice up. If it’s raining all day and it starts to get dark temperatures will fall below freezing...

Do what’s best for your business. Don’t let them bully you into doing loads. Take loads that make sense to your business. Be friendly but know, they are not your friend. Network with other panthers drivers to learn their good areas. Don’t be afraid to turn bad loads down.

It really depends on your wants and needs. I’m sure there are people who would talk bad and good things about them. They’ve been in business awhile. They won’t be perfect. Just depends on what you can put up with.

I’d go V3 but I am bias and have a bad taste from panther. Both will get you experience to eventually move on to bigger and better things.
