    Many Questions

Well, to answer your question, don't expect to pull down major $$ driving a B unit. Secondly, I don't think any of the majors will take you on without at least a class C CDL. I believe what you hold now will only let you transport hazmat in your home state, you need to be able to go interstate...

    NEW AT THE GAME

Rotella is an expensive oil hybrid made by Shell. A LOT of truckers swear by the stuff and some companies REQUIRE it exclusively in their engines. :D

    So, How's Business?

Thanks for being straight-forward. I strongly desire to be my own boss, BUT I don't want to be foolish about it. It looks like I may just start looking for another place to invest my hard earned cash. Just for fun....I make about $50K driving locally for a contractor. The work requires that...

    So, How's Business?

I've got approval for my truck financing, and approval from Panther II. Before I make the jump I gotta ask.... How's Business out there? I haven't seen too many posts of late complaining about the lack of loads. Maybe everyone's too busy out there running to make posts? Anyway, I have no...

CAT 3126 vs. 3126B Anything better or new?

Thanks Weave and Larry for the info. Weave, you hit it right on the head w/ the Dan Tilley reference. I will definitely stay away from any truck equipped with the Cat 3126(B). I had a feeling what I was being told by the dealer didn't add up. :-)

CAT 3126 vs. 3126B Anything better or new?

Hi guys, seeing that the expedite market seems to be coming around, I'm considering making the plunge and purchasing a 2001 Acterra with a Cat 3126B. Now, having read the many, many, many posts deriding the 3126 I have to wonder what the difference is. Of course I was told by the dealer that the...

    Helpful Hints

The boiling water thing is typical of modern day "urban legend". That story is complete BS. I always get an extra laugh when whoever wrote the fiction includes testimony from an "expert". LOL! Good one Geo! :P

I Think I Saw The "Dream Machine"

I'm not sure, but while heading north on I 95 in CT Saturday night, I think I saw the truck just profiled on here as being the "dream machine" heading south. If it wasn't the truck, it was it's twin with nearly the same paint job. I'm wondering if I was right......;)

Looking for a good place to buy a new 'B' unit

Hi guys, I've been reading this forum for about a month now. Along with talking to a few guys I've met in my home area, I've decided that the best thing for me to do is to start off in a B unit. I remember seeing an ad for a Ford dealer that specializes in selling B units all speced out....Now...
