We heard alot of recruiters dont tell the truth or they tell you whatever you want to hear to get you to sign. Who is reliable?

We signed on with a company telling us low pay would be 1.25 per mile and right away first check we were getting .85 per mile. Whats up with this? Four hours worth of driving for 100.00? Is this right? Is running local a waste of time?

Not sure on how to get contracts with these individual companies but we will take the name number and address of all his stops he has for the next few months and try to approach these people...

Hi all me and my husband have just started this business. Meaning we got our first truck last week. He signed on with a company and is going to work for them to get a good understanding. We want to buy more trucks and get our own loads. Does anyone know the sights you use to find loads online...

thanks so much for the info. Yes, I know we are looking to do alot. We are looking for experience first then hopefully try to pick up our own loads. I know we have ALOT to learn before taking on this. This helps for the future.

Another question when we are ready to just run our own loads where do i go or call to get the stickers the cops will look for on the sides of the trucks. I also need the small blue sticker. The d.o.t. numbers etc.?
