2003 3500 Freightliner Sprinter Mech Issues

Just a comment. The more I read about Sprinters the more I wish GM would come out with a Sprinter like van with GM quality. Or maybe a Sprinter with a Cummins engine, that would be cool. I don't have any experience with MB engines but I'm leary since I know BMW engines are terrible. Good luck.

    EBay

Just wondering the legalities of running a raffle, would that be legal? In my mind it should be legal, the dam-n gov should stay the hell out of our lives. Although I don't know if the gov would view a raffle as gambling and you would need a permit. Maybe online it would bypass any need for...

D is anything over 5001 pound cargo capacity, 18' and longer box, from what I have seen.

    Truck Camera System

Here's that Evocam software put to use to catch a glimpse of a rodent. I think Webcam XP Pro is the windows based alternative to Evocam. http://space.mit.edu/home/tegmark/mouse.html

Just a general statement about Express-1

What is with this company's policy of 2 year or newer cargo van and 5 year and newer straight trucks. Do they really think a brand new cargo van is worthless after 2 years? Crunching the numbers, an owner would take a pretty big hit with depreciation every 2 years. For example, a 2004 Chevy...

    Truck Camera System

I saw this camera setup for a laptop with "Evocam" software that does just about anything you want for only $25.00 plus whatever the camera costs which they are cheap now. It has a motion sensor that starts recording 15 seconds films when it sees movement, and I'm sure that's flexible. Also it...

    How old is your truck?

While you're posting the age, also post the miles on the odometer, that would also be interesting.

    need input on truck purchase

I rely on the used market a lot for my info and from what I have seen the Cummins engines seem to be in better shape even with high miles.

    info on Hino trucks

You're probably right about that. At least the Freightliner has American roots and with a Cummins engine it does the trick. I helped in the design of Cummins engines about 15 years ago. If you buy a Hino you're just sending more money over seas and sending more people on the streets. Yeah...

    info on Hino trucks

I wouldn't buy one, parts and labor are probably through the roof. Although I'm biased against anything that doesn't have an American nameplate. I know Freightliner which is owned by Chrysler which is half owned and run by Mercedes, but I still prefer Freightliner.

Every company wants teams, what about a solo driver

RE: Every company wants teams, what about a solo dr I don't agree with the original post, it's not all company's that demand teams. Only the ones trying to get every penny out of the truck and rip off the drivers with lower pay. Teams should get X 2 at least but from what I've seen this is not...

    2006 SPRINTER

It's been a while, but I remember my auto mechanics teacher talking about this. Basically conventional oil is not all oil. I forgot the percentage but something like 70% oil molecules comes to mind, the rest are impurites. There have been countless side by side comparisons in long term tests...

CDL Online Help - Worth the money ???

Study those online tests until you absolutely ace them. I mean 98% or better, and also try and understand the answers. The tests at the DMV will be mostly different so you will need to understand the questions and answers rather than memorizing them. Once you get to this point you will surely...

    2006 SPRINTER

It's hard to say whether synthetic oil is economically better at the end, but the price has tightened between regular oil and synthetic. Although I don't think anyone can question that synthetic is indeed better. Synthetic is made with 100% oil molecules all identical, while natural oil has...

Night, I know you don't like Fedex for solo drivers. In your opinion for solo drivers in a straight truck or in a tractor, are there better company's to go with than Fedex? Under 10k GVW I'm sure solo is fine with no logging.
