Deville - I would have to agree with you on this one since some don't have two filters . And if it only has one filter - then in these parts - we call that the PRIMARY one . LOL .

Notice that some 3126's have two fuel filters . A water separator filter and a primary filter - and some only have the primary filter . Can you just add a second one on if it only has one or could it have a negative effect since it wasn't standard from the factory ? Never could understand why...

If the fan clutch is bad and the fan runs a lot - would that be a big drain on the engine ? I guess what I am really asking is would you notice a loss of power from the engine ?

I owned a similar vehicle . 250 cutaway with a 11 ' box - 4.2 , 6 cylinder - 8600 G.V.W. Truck was a bit under powered and wasn't good on gas at all . I think because it was a 6 , it was always struggling . Not sure what the rear end ratio was . I didn't keep it very long to say the least .
