It's a cost of doing business, and should be kept as low as possible.

Is anyone running a straight truck under 26000 lbs.?? In NY for commercial driving that requires a class c licence. I could be a 18-20 ft. box and a sleeper. Is there any money to be made this way, or do I really need to go the expense of getting a class B license?

I have been doing my due-diligence now for over 3 years. Have found a couple of trucks that I think will fit the budget, and the need. I know that there are a lot of people bad mouthing Hino for expediting, but I also know that there are several people running these trucks, so..........here...

Also.....before accepting freight that required straps and pads, did you find out what the requirements were for getting them back to the carrier or the shipper? Did you not have the required equipment to accept this kind of freight?? I think these items are part of the "tools of the trade"...
