Their are greedy capitalists and greedy socialists. In both systems, a power elite emerges in whose hands wealth and power tend to concentrate.
True, it all boils down to human nature, the desire for power is built into our DNA.

That's why I like democracy and the US Constitution. It has checks and balances built into it to allow the greatest number of people to fairly participate in the system and prosper. These checks and balances offset that DNA-based desire for power and thereby enable more people to participate in society as something other than slaves. This is not perfectly applied in the US, but I know of no better system.

The corruption that produces today's divide and moves wealth into the hands of a powerful few, is troubling. That discomfort is part of the reason so many are are willing to embrace demagogues like Trump. Increasing numbers of people no longer believe the American dream is possible for them. Or, they want it to be possible for them but no one else.

And just like that, now he is calling for the all the rules to be thrown out so he can be sworn back in as president, is this what all the MAGA morons want?

I have said it before, Trump is just the latest symptom in a bigger disease that is happening in this country, but if he actually does get re-elected I can pretty much guarantee that we will never vote for a president again. he will become the disease.

Dude, Trump disrupted all of that. That is why the Uniparty is so against him. Yet the contempt is for Trump? What a joke.

Trump derangement syndrome at it's best even with trump out of office for over 2 years now.....
That's the whole plan; keep the 3-ring Trump circus dominating the news and distract the public from focusing on the significant issues of the day. Biden and the wacky liberals are failing in every important area of governance, yet many people still don't understand how bad the border situation is, the rising crime rates, inflation, our sagging military, failing schools, energy mismanagement - the list is endless. Yet people are still obsessed with what Trump might have had in some boxes stored at Mar-a-Lago, while ignoring the glaring evidence of criminal activity that been going on for years with Biden and his sleazy family.

If they Democrats spent as much time fixing the country as they do on trump they would never need to worry about trump because he would be irreverent because they would be doing their jobs.

It's not just Democrats focusing on Trump. It's patriotic Republicans and independents, and law enforcement too.

With his call to terminate the Constitution, Trump has declared himself an enemy of the Constitution. He once took an oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of United States. Now he calls to terminate it. As long as he continues his criminal and and anti-Constitution activity, he will remain relevant to law officers and all other Americans who by oath or in spirit continue to support and defend the Constitution of the United States.

Here's the oath Trump took and he would be expected to take again if elected:

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

To me, Trump's call to terminate the Constitution disqualifies him from public office.

Trump Denies His Terminate-Constitution Statement

Two days after Trump says (in writing, on Truth Social) the US Constitution must be terminated, he issues a statement denying he said it.

How shallow do you have to be do issue such a denial?
How gullible must you believe your supporters to be to accept such a denial?
