My name is Mark Manera. I am in physical therapy school and my colleagues, Taylor and Tyler, are both experienced Physical Therapists for nearly 40 years combined. During our time in the clinic, we have worked with a lot of trucker drivers. One thing that we have noticed is how difficult it is for truck drivers to exercise and eat healthy on a consistent basis while on the road.
We understand there are a lot of factors that don’t help this situation: a lack of full control on your schedule; feeling frustrated about not knowing where to start; high stress from work, chronic issues and difficulty accessing healthcare/gym, etc.
We also know that there are some ways that we can make this as easy for you as possible: making the program easy to understand; workouts are easy to access and delivered directly to you that you can perform at your truck; making the workouts efficient and not time consuming (30 min-ish)
Here’s where your help is needed! Our goal is to help as many truck drivers as possible start improving their health. We know how beneficial exercise is for people’s long term health, but we also know how tough the lifestyle of a truck driver can be. So, we wanted to get help from the people that know truck drivers best…. You! Below is a link to a questionnaire that we created and would love any feedback or suggestions that you have. Any help would be beneficial. We want to create a program that helps make exercising as easy to access/adhere to for truck drivers as we can!
