Dumb Question....

Still some what new. A few months back I had my State Inspection done. I live in PA. I am an O/O of a ford cargo van. Independent contractor. I got an email from my dispatcher saying they needed to update my driver ID and DOT inspection. My question is the State and DOT same thing? Thanks.

I'll update this post with the exact chapter and verse when I Google it, but in a nutshell, PA state inspection is an acceptable equivalent to a DOT inspection. If I were you, I'd just send your dispatcher a picture of your inspection sticker, both sides, or a pic of your invoice from the garage that did it.

Chapter & verse: 49 CFR 396.17.

Fwiw, a PA inspection is known to be pretty thorough, so your company should accept it just fine
