There's a bank next to the Sonic on Memorial Drive, across from Advance Auto Parts. In their back parking lot, there are a couple large trees in the back corner that provide serious shade, dawn til dusk. Didn't check for wifi. There's a Walmart just down the street, so the place is pretty complete, except for a toilet.
The bank did call the cops on me to come check me out, but I 'splained what I was doing there, and he told them, and they said I could stay. He was a nice guy, didn't even tase me once.
Since they tore out the old Conoco that was previously closed but the canopy of which provided good shade, the bank is now the only shady spot in Waycross that I know of.
In 3 months, we'll be looking for sunny spots to warm us up.
