The same Republicans who are continually adding more government regulation to a woman's health care [a place where they have no business], among other things.
And power should be decentralized, except when it can't be, because the states can't accomplish some pretty important things without the uniform power of the feds. Imagine if every state had created it's own system of roads & signage, lol.

I'm not a huge Trump fan, but I like some of the quotes in this article and he makes some good points. One of my favorites: "In the make-believe world you will automatically get paid what you are worth. The real world doesn’t work that way. You get paid what you are worth only when the person you are dealing with has no other choice.”

Anyone who has ever tried to sell anything understands that the sole definition of "worth" is whatever someone is willing to pay for it. It has zero to do with anything else.

I agree no one should be forced to help pay for birth control, abortions etc. Men should not be forced to have pregnancy coverage in their insurance plan to help lower the cost for females.

That's the whole premise of insurance: to spread the cost among many, so no one gets wiped out. It's a pretty socialistic kind of deal, really. I [who am very healthy, with no chronic conditions, needing almost zero medical care] am helping to keep the cost 'reasonable' for those who have all kinds of lifelong medical problems: hypertension, diabetes, etc.
Men don't get pregnant [or we'd all be only children, lol], but they do have children, [and mothers!] so the pregnancy and contraceptive coverage is in their best interests as well. And AFAIK, there is no insurance that pays for an elective abortion.

You get a free pap schmere.
And you can use the free birth control pills as awesome plant fertilizer.
You gotta get something for that three grand.

Whole thing is a mess. Found out in TN all of them are having a major rate hike. BCBS is 36 percent just for this year. Sooo, on our policy covering just the two of us, ours went up 246 dollars a month. So that is a extra 2952 a year for pretty much nothing.
But dave what about the warm fuzzy feeling you get each time you pay the bill knowing your helping the less ambitious.

It delights me to no end. You would think they would stop by and rake the leaves or something.

And that 36% increase is for the plans that are still alive. There will be more increases next year. The TN co-op is one of those that have flatlined. Just another example of how well socialism works when somebody else's money runs out.

Yep. From what I have read, another 30 to 40 percent increase next year. Of course that is in addition to this years increase. Yep, socialism is a great plan. Just ask Hillary and Bernie lol.
