Winter Fuels?

Hey everyone,

I'm wondering when they start coming out w/ winter blended fuel. I'm asking this cuz the last few tanks of gas my milage has been lower. I've checked the tires, air filter, watched my speed, & don't really notice anything in the engine that's missing. My plugs, wires, & such are less than 30k miles old.

My first guess here is the winter fuel if they've even started coming out w/ it. If the fuel isn't the challenge, what are some other things I might wanna consider?

The milage drop has been from the mid 18's to even the low 19s if everything lined up right to the high 16's/low 17s for my last few tanks of gas.

Thanx in advance,
Danny

Speaking of winter fuels, I just wanted to remind those of us that go into the colder regions to stock up with a couple of half gallons of 911.

You never know when your fuel lines will freeze up. Our fuel started freezing up once in upper Quebec. We put that 911 in the fuel and it zap we were on our way!

Also, make sure your air lines have been anti-freezed if you are doing any travel in the colder regions.

WE are also now getting the Altra low sulfur diesel (ALSD) fuel that may account for lower mileage. ALSD has less cetane.
