Where's all the freight, all the sudden?

I'm sitting here in Seville, Ohio, which is on 3 different boards with my company. Currently I am number 10 in line. There also seems to be no progress being made and nowhere to move to thats any better. My brother is dealing with the same scenario in Tennessee. What gives? Shouldn't it be smokin out there by now? Have all the expedite carriers over-hired with false anticipation?

I'd move........ simple as that !!!!

On the opposite side of the spectrum, i'm hoping for an extended layover soon. Wev'e not had more than 12-18 hrs. stoppage since after Christmas. Our 1st qtr. 06 saw a whopping 28% increase over last year. Then again, others are complaining bout how slow things have been. I just don't get it !!

I agree I'd move,Maybe you may get a load while passing thru to your next layover. When i moved alot of times i'd be offered a load or two just passing thru the different express centers.

An orientation just let out of Panther in Seville yestarday. Obviously there will be alot of trucks there. I'm one of them, #5433(at the T/a right now) Try a move to columbus, I know a couple tractors went in that direction, but the only straights that left today have went to cleveland and one got a load to ontario.

It's slow for most of us, and I dont think it's ever going to be like it was several years ago. You didnt say who you are leased on with but if it is Panther, you better get used to being 10 or more in line. If you are a cargo van you are a going to get loaded after all the D units are taken care of, dont blame them, all of their freight is going on the E units.
