We Finally Bought a Truck

After searching around for quite awhile, we finally bought a truck to convert to an RV. It came from Dallas and was delivered last week. It is a 2000 FL70 with a 72" Bentz, 22' box, 3126 set at 250 (going to bump up), Eaton 6 spd autoshift, air ride, and rigmaster. Not a bad truck. We took it on its first little trip last weekend and it didn't do bad. It is a little high geared (3.73), but did alright. We were hauling two rigs, one in the box and one on the trailer behind. We plan to add onto the rear of the box to allow for two in the box. It has the rollup door so we can leave that ope and hang the rear of one out there. The autoshift isn't bad, but I would have rather had a 9 or 10 to help the engine stay in the power band better. All in all, not a bad truck. We'll be making some changes to it soon and I'll post pictures with the progress as it happens. The full load was around 10K with both rigs and the trailer and spare parts.

Enjoy and thank you for all the information that we have been able to gather on here.
