Looked at a used T300 today, just looking for thoughts on it. Truck looks to be in nice shape, no body damage to truck or van, no significant rust (other than parts of the lift) and price looks to be pretty good.

2003 T300 Day Cab (ex Paclease)
Cat 3126-250
187500 miles
Eaton 10 spd
12/21K axles
Steel wheels
Good rubber all around
Air ride
24' aluminum high cube dry van
2 rows E track
Standard tongue & groove floor
Aluminum roof
4400lb. rail gate

Asking price is $26K Canadian or around $21700 US, less if the loonie keeps dropping.

Only real issue are the T&G floor surface it a bit splintered, not bad but will only get worse and the fact it doesn't have a translucent roof which I really prefer - things are much brighter inside. Anyone know rough cost to replace the floor or upgrade to hardwood and change the roof? Also it doesn't seem to have a forklift package (standard crossmember spacing in back) so is it possible to upgrade that and is that a big expense?

On the negotiating front, what's a reasonable expectation off the asking price or am I better getting the box upgrades I want written into the deal? By that I mean get them to have it done pre-delivery so it can be financed with the truck.
