Understanding the lane models in the US

Hi, I am new to trucking and I am trying to understand how I can find out what are the main trucking lanes in the US, specifically from the mid to eastern US. I am trying to figure out which routes are profitable say NY to GA, GA to PA, PA to get the truck back to NY. Any help or guidance is greatly appreciated

"Main" lanes don't always mean profit, they usually mean lots of competition, which rarely drives the rate up.
