I just made a phone call to a driver I really wanted to hire. He was experienced, knowledgeable, respectful and very curtious. My insurance company would not allow me to hire hime because he had two recent speeding tickets. He had just ?resigned? from another truck owner for pay problems and did not think the speeding tickets would count against him because he received them while driving his car.
WRONG !
Owners and carriers are directed by our insurance companies about who can and who cannot be hired. Two moving violations and my insurance company rejects you.
Do not labor under the misconception that tickets in four wheelers or on mototcycles don't count against your CDL. This erroneous thinking can force you to seek a new career.
Use caution... slow down... your income depends on it !
