The latest issue of "The Trucker " (which it seems is no longer available in fuel stops , only rest areas ) reports this is the man pushing for the driving limits to be pushed back to 10 hours . Senator Frank R. Lautenberg . I just e-mailed him and the DOT and asked what justification there was for changing the HOS other than Lautenberg's obligations to the Teamsters for their political contributions . I challenged them to produce safety related data to support the change . I have this to oppose wasting regulator's time .

I flat out told DOT put up or shut up . Unless they can give a safety related justification to make HOS changes they'd best leave it alone .
