Im looking at having some rear spring work done soon theyr'e getting tired. I found a bone yard that can set me up with a frame cut off with the airride for abbout 950. bucks. Question I have, is it worth swiching over an 03 international 4300 its in good shape with abbout 325000. I figure air bags are usualy cheaper than leaf pacs and I cant R/R leaf springs myself. Also what goes into it is it just a swich over and run air or more? also life expectancy on air bags and can airbags be changed out without a fully equiped spring or truck shop.
I plan on keeping it untill it dies at least three to four years hopefuly.

Can't answer all your questions but I would thing the air ride would be worth it if not just for the better ride......had a civilian in a spring ride large rental St. trk come up to me and ask how can we stand day in and day out bouncing down the road LOL.

Air springs, once installed of course, are no problem to change out. *Small leak showed up at about 600k mi.s, FL M2, changed it out in the Petro parking lot no problem, just be sure and let the air out of it 1st. I discovered later that "Slime" patched a small hole in my bunk air spring some time ago, haven't tried it on the large rears tho. Use sparingly.*

Shippers will like your air ride truck and could lead to better loads. You didn't mention if your truck has air brakes or not. If not, you would need to run the compressor off that donor truck to supply the system with air. I wished you lived near St. Louis, I would cut you a better deal on my air ride set up.

I got some rough news today took the truck to a local spring shop. If I want to go air ride I would need to upgrade the compressor not sure if the truck is worth that much money.
Ill just look into getting into a air ride unit if business picks up or this one becomes a money pit.
