Shifting?

With the class 7 D-Units a 6 speed seems to be most common transmission from what I've read. I have never driven a 6 speed, but I assume it is synchronized. I know that allot of the "pros" in the Class 8s with 9 or more forward gears shift without using the clutch (floating). I was just wondering if any of you float shift using a 6 speed or would that cause damage to the clutch and/or transmission if it uses synchronizers?

I wasn't sure if I should post this in this section or the truck section, so sorry if I'm in the wrong place..lol

Always use the clutch when shifting a synchronized manual transmission.
Shifting without using the clutch will greatly accelerate wear.
