I've seen several posts regarding protecting truck floors, something you might want to try is a material that has basically no weight, 1/8 - 1/4 inch plastic liners ( pullet liners)
Its a material( semi soft white plastic) that is used all over Michigan on the floors of chicken houses, its light, comes in rolls as wide as 8 feet and its pliable...the chickens do their thing on this stuff and then you can drive a bobcat over it to scoop it all out...hose it off etc.
Its really hard to gouge it....Sunkist farm supply in Holland Michigan sells it. It would also make a great scuff liner...
This is the same material they use in dump trucks to ease getting all the material to dump out only thinner.
