Sometimes when I click on a post I get a list of the replies. Sometimes I get a list of the replies as well as all the replies. What is the difference? What determines which? Thanks.

Hey Prof. When a thread reaches a certain number of posts, the thread is auto condensed on the page just to show a list of replies. This is both to help you skim to a specific poster's reply as well as speed up page loading. You can bypass it by clicking the VIEW ALL link on the first line of replies.
