Panther: Where To Move After SLC Delivery?

Hi All,

I am delivering in Salt Lake City UT on Monday morning. Based upon your previous experience if you are in a Panther cargo van, what would you do?

The only other time I have been this far west was Prince Albert SK and I had to go to Wichita KS to get a load.

My only plan thus far was to start heading east and go in/out of service every hour or so in an attempt to get an Empty Move.

Thanks for your help,

Brian

I was just in SLC. I delivered there 11/28 at 0100 and got a load from Orem to San Antonio 11/29 about 1100. Based on my one experience I'd wait through the business day following my delivery before heading out on my own. If I had to do that I'd do as you say and periodically try to get an empty move sent to me. My observation is made based on my D unit. I don't know if things would be similar in a van or not. There is a small but nice Flying J on 215 at exit 28 if you happen to be on that side of town. Good luck.
