Panther,O/O or lease

I live in kalamazoo Michigan 4 miles north of I-94.Does panther hire drivers for there O/O?
Do they lease trucks to new O/O?
I see panther alot on 94.I have a perfect driving record with a CDL-A no hazmat but only 9 months otr,the co. went out of business.Drove a KW T600 10 speed pulled a 48'& 53'reffer trailer from grand rapids mi.to different points on the west coast.
Would like to run semi but have read I need 1 year otr so looking at cargo van instead.

Tim,
We do not have a lease purchase program. We do have fleet owners that are looking for drivers. We now have a policy where we can qualify a secondary driver that only has 6 months otr for team tractors. So if you were interested in getting your one year experience, we could get you talking to some of our tractor fleet owners to team with a current driver. We also have straight truck and cargo van opportunities also if that wasn't something you wanted.

If you would like to get more experience before getting into something spacific in trucking you might want to check with Equity Transportation out of GR. equityinc.com. They don't do all that west coast stuff but they will keep you in the lower 48 and they do allow you to decline loads. If you get out of a semi now with your experience you may not be able to get back in without going back to a school for a refresher course. This is just a thought that you may not have considered.
