Hi Earl
Q: hi frank, talked to you a while back on here.need info again, sorry.meeting with a o/o on sat 7-29-06.i have my own accountant but know 0 about trucking.she does have a cpl of o/o she does taxes for.when i told her of the money i can except to make she said no way.

A: I do not know what you told her as to what you can make as a driver. and she said ( " No Way") that would depend on what company you are leased to and how you run.

Q: i'm married,no kids at home, all grown and moved.how do we do taxes if i get you to do mine?does my accountant do my wifes or how does this work

A: Being Married is the best way to file and legally you must file jointly even though your kids are out of the house, you would get the best deductions that way, even if you only took the standard decution.

Q: also i need a list of things i can and can not deduct.what is the per diem now?i know i can write off fuel, tolls, and log book.what about cleaning supplies for the truck, clothes(work)maps, stuff like that.

A; Everything that you spend on the truck and not reimbursed for you may deduction. the only item that you are limited by is the Clothing that is purchased. The Per Diem is $52 US and $58 Canada, but subject to 75% which is the actual amount that is deducted, you are not allow to take all of the amount. You can also take motels. if any

Q: if you do not want to answer here can you e-mail me.would also like your phone # so i can talk to you if that is pos,if not thats ok to,e-mail is fine.
