I am a diabetic and on actos 15mg.and accupril 10mg. all in pill form.
Could I drive a cargo van and be taking this medication?
I have been told by some pepole yes as long as I am not using a needle to inject the medicine.Been told by others the dot law says no to any meds like this.
Could someone please give me the straight scoop on this please.
I use to drive OTR(mich-ca)about 4 years ago so I still have my CDL.The co. went out of business and I got really sick when the diabetes hit me.I am now driving a parts delivery truck around town but want to get back driving again.
I have other questions but will see if I can do this first. Thanks for your help!!
Have a great day :)

If I were you I would contact your State DOT Office and try to get official information. Also a DOT Physical location could probably answer that.Personally I think you can drive but I wouldn't guarantee it.

You might want to consider what expediting might do to your health. The industry can be very hard on a healthy person, much less someone with diabetes. There's a lot of temptation to turn to caffeine, etc. to push on to complete a run, which is dangerous for someone with a blood sugar problem.
